NSX Concept Review

This is a vehicle that many have waited for. This is a vehicle that combines elegance, style, and power. This is the Acura NSX concept. Powering the concept is a mid engine V6 sending power to the rear wheels. To make the car worthy of the SH-AWD title it needs to be AWD, and to make it AWD it has two electric motors in the front wheels that improves handling and efficiency. The separate electric motor in the dual clutch transmission forms the hybrid setup. This AWD setup will provide supercar acceleration with great efficiency. 2012 Corvette Review

The Corvette is an absolute powerhouse of a car and the Convertible Model adds a new, unique flair to this already famous muscle car.
The 2012 Corvette packs a 6.2L supercharged V8 that produces 580 HP, and 556 lb-ft of torque through a 6 speed manual transmission as well as power going to the rear wheels. 0-60 happens in 4.4 seconds and with a top speed of 186 MPH. The exterior sports bold and aggressive styling with cut off LED headlamps, this adds a unique look that look that shows other drivers that this car packs its' fair share of muscle under the hood.
 Meanwhile, the interior is equipped with both leather and sport seats. While this does give the car a classier look, the overall impression is ruined by the selection of plastics found throughout the interior. These Plastics range from expensive looking, quality pieces, to selections that fall far from desired and lack the dignified air that the rest of the car gives off.
On the exterior, the car's massive hood is outfitted with a scoop which sucks air into the engine so that the V8 is cooled, as well as powering the supercharger. Benefits aside, the scoop gives the Convertible a striking look that's guaranteed to turn heads.
Over all, for $61,745, there are better cars on the market than this; however, if the American V8 engine, style, and quality are your thing, then this car is perfect for you.

2012 Gran Turismo Review

The 2012 Gran Turismo is an Italian sports coupe that's great as it is; however, does require some major upgrades.
 It's 4.2L V8 produces 405 HP. The Gran Turismo can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in 5.2 seconds, and its' top speed is record as being around 186mph.
Despite its' appearance, the Gran Turismo is more comfortable than many think. The interior is outfitted with full grain leather and an exclusive touch screen system. 
The front end of the exterior is not only modeled with the signature Maserati look, but also with a special Gran Turismo style. The LED running lamps and xenon lamp are formed presented in an aggressive styling package. The car's character lines form a stylish and aggressive presence that follows through into a strong and muscular looking rear.
Diffusers and aerodynamic features help the car stay planted to the ground, even at high speeds. When a car is designed with this much power and luxury, the price expected to be audacious. In the case of the Gran Turismo though, this magnificent sports car comes with the reasonable price that ranges from $123,000 - $142,800.

Ford Taurus SHO Hennessey Review

Now this is a car that has gone from being innovative to being even more innovative. The base SHO carries a 3.5L ecoboost V6 which means it is turbocharged and upgraded by ford. That produced 365 HP and 350 lb-ft of torque. The Hennessey upgrade package gives the SHO 445 HP and 405 lb-ft of torque. Standard without the package you get AWD and a 6 speed auto transmission. The package includes � Hennessey Dual Cold Air Induction System
� Hennessey Polished Hard Piping to Turbo Chargers

2013 Porsche 911 Review

Now, many love the new Porsche 911, but some have been asking �where�s the new turbo?" We'll their questions have been answered. The new 911 turbo has arrived and looking better than ever. It will have an AWD system different from all of Porsches other models. It packs. 3.8L twin turbo flat six producing and astonishing 520HP, although the Turbo S model will produce around 560 HP. With that much power you will need a strong transmission. So Porsche fitted it with their seven speed dual clutch PDK (which, by the way is the only transmission available). 0-60 is in 3.1 seconds and 2.9 seconds for the Turbo S model. For both, a top speed at 198 MPH is estimated. Both versions incorporate new aerodynamics, new LED lights, wider bodywork, and a stop/start system to improve fuel costs. The Turbo S gets an adaptive suspension, active engine mounts, and carbon ceramic brakes. It will be priced at $148,300 for the Turbo and $181,100 for the Turbo S (plus $950 destination). Expect a convertible version to follow, as well as a new GT2 model that will ditch the all-wheel drive and tighten up the package even further.

2013 BMW 6-Series Review

What a beautiful car for a beautiful day. The 6 series truly has style and passion. New for 2013 is the options of two engine choices, the base model packs a 3.0L I6 producing 315 HP and 330 lb-ft of torque, and while this is enough for the normal get up and go, the other model you get a massive 4.4L turbo V8 producing 445 HP and 480 lb-ft of torque, which is a much faster, and enjoyable car to drive around on the back roads. All choices come with a 8 speed automatic transmission, that is not half as bad as you might think, while you are cruising on the highway, the car shifts into the eighth gear, lowing the RPMS, thus, saving you a lot of gas every year. And you still have the option of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The 6 series has a wonderful exterior, which now features more life, and passion than ever, the interior is also packed with nice things like navigation  backup camera, and even night vision for driving in the dark. With a comfortable and luxurious Interior, the gran coupe is reasonably priced at $76,00 and is also sold in a coupe, convertible and M versions.

Porsche Carrera GT Review

This was one of those cars that really never should have existed, in 2000, for the Paris Auto Show, Porsche decided to make a concept to attract attention to their display, thus, the Porsche Carrera GT was born. The great Porsche GT. the Carrera GT was a 911 on steroids. It packed a 5.7L V10 producing 612 HP and 435 lb- ft of torque, the engine was actually suppose to be in the 1998 GT1 Lemans race car, but Porsche needed to shelve the engine for the design on a up-coming Porsche SUV (later to be named the Cayenne)

.It had a 6 speed manual with power going to the rear wheels. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 205 MPH. It used a carbon fiber and aluminum body, carbon fiber engine cover, and carbon ceramic disc brakes, massive radiators to cool the big V10, custom shocks and dampers. A total of 1,270 Carrera GT's were made. Although this cars life was short lived, it showed what Porsche was capable of doing when given the right tools.

The whole car was a special edition to Porsche and I hope the upcoming 918 will make that special feeling even stronger.

Dodge Viper Review

The good old Dodge Viper, Best known for a huge V8, terrible handling, and cheap plastics, but there�s more to this beast than just downright power and speed.

The good old viper packed an 8.4L V10 with 600 HP and 560 lb-ft of torque connected to a manual 6 speed transmission. With all of that power going to the rear wheels. 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 202 MPH, made this snake a handful on the track, and on the street for that matter. The old viper was fun and a little dangerous with no traction control or ABS.  The interior was not the best, with cheap plastics and a stale design. The starting price was $91,005 and went up to $113,800 for the ACR final edition model. But the massive V10 under the lengthily hood made anyone who drove it happy, or scared. Of course it came to an end in 2010 but the new SRT viper is better with a much more refined interior, and modern comforts like ABS, and traction control, but still contains the good old viper touch.

BR-Z vs. FR-S

Now you may be wondering, why is there yet another review on the BRZ? Well All Cars News has decided to start writing reviews for the Teen Car Guy webpage, so if you have the time, go check out this fantastic Instagram that is full of automotive information.

Some may say its a Toyota or a scion, but the BRZ is a Subaru. Sure the sports car shares components with the FRS and GT-86, but some distinctions and the fact that you are driving a Subaru changes some things. The BRZ along with the others has been said by many to be a great drivers car and a blast to drive. Though only 200hp and 150 lb-ft of torque, the high revving, rear wheel drive sports coupe is a great deal for a base around $25,000.
 With each different car there are different interior amenities so you could choose either three.One of the big down-falls for the car is the interior, which is different in both cars, the Scions interior is so ugly and outdated that I feel its not even worth mentioning, although the Subaru interior is a little bit better, with a radio that is nicely placed, and easy-to-use buttons. Its not a bad interior, with the Subaru racing seats, red stitching  and sporty shiftier, its meant to be driven in, and is far better than the Scions interior, but it wouldn't take much to beat the Scions interior.. 

Sadly, GT-86 which really gets the best of both cars, is not sold in the U.S so you would only have to choose between the FRS and BRZ. Though not as powerful as people want, you get a great handling car that is fun to drive but probably not so much for the track. 0-60 times are ok at 7.3 on the BRZ. Fuel economy is good at 22/30 on the BRZ, FRS and GT-86 for the manual transmission, 22/34 for the automatic. Though all cars look almost alike, the FRS and GT-86 wear a special badge for the legendary original GT-86 but the BRZ doesn't because Subaru is not owned by Toyota. With the cars you get a sporty coupe design with 4 seats, if your rear seat passengers are pieces of spaghetti. If you are truly looking for an affordable, fun to drive sports car, then you should consider one of these great cars. Just minor distinctions would make someone have a tough time deciding on which one to pick, also the factor of which country you live in.

Subaru BRZ

The 2013 Subaru BRZ is a dream come true for sport car fans, lightweight  rear-wheel drive, small, fast, and good looking. The two-way branch with Scion almost seemed to good to be true, with funky, fresh looks from the youth orientated Scoin, and the classic 200 horsepower Boxer engine, which is enough to throw it into a corner and enjoy the view sideways. but is it really as good as it seems? light, fast, and most important, affordable  I will go over what makes this a great car, and i might go over some not-so-great things about this car to.

First things first, the engine. For the brand new BRZ Subaru supplied the 200 horsepower engine, it is good for around 155lb of tourq, and a 0-60 time of 7.3 seconds. which is enough to have fun, but the real thrill seekers might want to wait a little bit, because Subaru has announced that a turbo option will be available later this year, but if you can not wait, there are plenty of turbo options to upgrade that naturally aspirated engine into a 260 horsepower tire spinning machine. but the stock engine is great, gives out a fun, and perky note, good gas mileage, and a decent power that will make you smile.

Now one of the biggest reasons you're going to buy a car are the looks. while there are many great sports cars out on the market right now, there are a few that turns heads, for the wrong reasons (G37, Acura TL) They all have good intentions, but some times, they fail, and sale will show. but what about the BRZ? to me, looks like a very, youth orientated designed car, but that does that mean a 40-year old will not unjoy the styling, in fact, i love the looks. during testing, I stopped at a gas station, and the man across from my pump asked "hey, is that the new Porsche or something? " well, he probably is not a car guy, but it shows that this car looks more like a 50k car, not a car that you can pick up at your local dealer for less than 30k.

On the road this car feels like a dream, sporty, fast, and super fun! it almost feels like a 200 horsepower Mini Cooper, glued to the road at all times. though the handling is above par, is could be better, allot better, for starters, the tires are absolute crap, seriously,  terrible tires, but i do think that the masterminds at Subaru did this for a reason, because the only time I really need good tires is when im going law-breaking speeds, but most of the time, i'm driving to the store to pick up some eggs, so while high quality tires might help you stick to the road, the cheap tires that come stock on the BRZ are a allot more fun, because sometimes when something is to good, it turns out to be bad.

after my stay with this car was over i was sad, although I love driving my 450 horsepower Mustang, somehow I managed to have allot more fun in a car that has nearly half the horsepower, but the way this car handles just puts a smile on your face. The ease of putting this car into a drift surprising  and there is not much i do not like about this car, an extra 70 horsepower would be nice, but Subaru already has plans for that.

at the end of the day, you might pay an extra $2500 for the Subaru, but you get a ton of stuff, navigation, STI racing seats, and most important, at the end of the day, you're driving a Subaru.

2013 Ram 1500

Motor Trend decided that the Ram 1500 is the Truck of the Year, so I decided that I should take one out and see what I think about this new truck that everybody is raving about.

First let�s start with the engine, the one I tested came with the new 305hp Penastar V6, which is also used in the Dodge Charger, and Chrysler 300 (I�m sure I�m missing some), but even though 305hp is not that much horsepower in a truck, it still has a towing capacity of 5,900 which is respectable, but it also has very good gas mileage, the one I drove averaged about 19mpg, great, for a two ton car. The power delivery is also very impressive; it almost feels like you�re driving a Chrysler 300 with a tow hitch. while other cars in this segment feel huge bulky, and gas thirsty, this Ram feels more of a smooth, and the steering is very precise, so you always know where you are going to go, so you could say that I�m starting to understand why this was the Truck Of the Year

Some of the biggest improvements for the 2013 Ram are inside the car; with more of a sedan feeling instead of a ugly looking 90's interior witch can be found on some trucks still (Nissan Titan). The truck i tested came with black leather, navigation, and soft touch plastic. A huge improvement over the last model which consisted of hard plastic, cloth, an outdated interior, but I have to admit, a truck is not meant to be a nice place to sit in, and the prices you have to pay now are just crazy! The F-150 starts at around 40 grand! To put that into perspective, you could buy a 2003 Aston Martin Vantage for 45 grand, but of coarse that�s for two very different buyers, but still, that�s a large price to pay.

The exterior has some slight charges, new grill, slightly more aggressive headlights, and some handy things around the outside, like a gun rack, and even a cooler. But, Ram is not the one who designed the truck, neither is Fiat, Nissan is the Mastermind behind this, not to mention the suspension was designed by Nissan, which Ram got most of the credit for. So why dose Nissan not have a truck? Several reasons, when the huge earthquake struck that would have been around the time Nissan would have sent off the new Titan, also complications with Fiat stopped the deal around halfway through the process, so we should all wait and see what Nissan has up its sleeve.

So, yes, I do think the 2013 Ram is worthy of the Truck Of the Year badge, but I do think that it did not have much of competition, The F-150 is a great truck, but has many flaws, Chevy, Toyota, and Nissan�s trucks are all out dated and in much need of updating, so while the Ram might steal the title now, the 2014 Truck of the Year will be a completely different story.

As you might have saw at the North American Auto Show this year, the new C7 Corvette has been released, and Chevy has some big and not-so-big surprise in store. With all new styling,

No, as some rumors said that Chevy would go for a V-6, but these rumors, thankfully turned out to be fake, Chevy went with the traditional small-block V-8, which is estimated, to make around 480hp, around 40hp more than the C6 Corvette, which means you are going to shave some time off your lap times, and with improvements to the handing, with lower springs, and anti-roll bars. You might even spend less time at the pump also, with an estimated EPA rating of 29mpg highway. But again, none of these specs are facts, but estimates on what these engines can perform.

Styling

The C7 Corvette has taken some big risks in the style, but it looks like those risks turned out to be huge success, the new headlights are exposed (sorry C2-C5 fans) and have a much more aggressive look to them, with sharp lines, with a slimmer look to them. The taillights look light they smashed the lights from the C5, and the C6, and then blacked them out, and surprisingly, it�s a great combination, looks mean, yet has the retro look. The body, is now being switched from using steel, to using aluminum, which is lighter, and stronger, so you can make the most out of the 480hp.

I think that the new C7 will be a huge hit for the Chevy, it has all the right ingredients, plus, they have improved just about everything from the older model, its faster, lighter, more comfortable, and most importantly, looks great!

2014 Bugatti Veyron

New for the brand that caters to people that are the %1 of the %1, is the new 2014 Bugatti Veyron. Bugatti clams that the new super car is about weighs about 550lbs less than the 2012 model, and it will produce around 600 more horse power, because 1001hp is not enough. The plan for the new Super Sport is to achieve better handling, and faster acceleration, which current is reported at 1.8s seconds, faster than most cars can reach 10mph. but all of this comes at a price, if you expect one of the 80 produces each year to be yours, you need to dish out an expected 2.4million dollars, if you make the average salary of $36,764, it will take you around 66 years, so don't worry about the specs, go check out my reviews on the best cars under 5k.

2012 BMW 3 Series Review

The new BMW 3 Series has a much more aggressive style around the body than the previous version it replaces. With more "serious" looking headlights, new and improved engine options, and better handling this is not a car to be reckoned with, but is it enough? With the BMW 3 Series accounting for %25 of US sales last year, and stiff new competition, like the new Cadillac ATS, and the Audi A6, it�s more important than ever to make this the best 3 Series yet.

The new BWM 3 Series now comes in two different engine options, a 240 horsepower 255 Pound - feet of torque 4 cylinder, and a straight 6, which produces 300 Horsepower and 300 Pound - feet of torque launching it from 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, which is not bad, but its only .4 seconds faster that the 4 banger.
The inside of the car been resigned like the outside, but unlike the outside, there is not much to say, you can order different packages, the one I tested came in the Modern style that includes real wood, fancy dials, and brushed steel on the dashboard, as all BMW interiors are no-nonsense and everything has its purpose, which makes the interior very simple to use, but very boring to look at. But there are some not-so-boring things in the interior, like the much improved iDrive, where you can make Calls, view vehicle settings, and check up on your cars maintenance.

The new 3 Series also has a new feature that might save you some gas around town, when you come to a complete stop, the engine shuts off, saving gas every time you come to a red light, giving it 23/33 mpg (automatic), but that is on premium gas, but none the less those are impressive numbers. Eco Pro is also a helpful feature in the new BMW 3 Series that tells you how you are driving and gives helpful tips like "Accelerate moderately" that save you gas when you're not trying to drive like a manic, which you will find yourself doing more often with the new and improved steering response, which makes you feel more connected than ever before, and I have never been in a car like this that makes it so easy to drive fast, you always know where the car is going to enter the corner, and leave the corner. but with this said its not really a fun car to drive, with every motion feeling almost effortless, and less road feel than the outgoing model do little to help this problem.

The no- nonsense BMW interior

With all of this said it�s a very solid car in the mid-car segment, with great handling and a solid all around performance, it�s a car that car makers need to take notes on, but some brands have all ready caught on to the 3 Series, and other options are now rising and more than ever there coming closer and closer to taking the BMW 3 Series from its Mid-Segment car king.

Mustang GT 2013 Review

 The newest Mustang, in GT form, makes 420 horsepower, and is good for 390 pound-feet of torque, and starting at only $31,000 it�s a steal.

But let�s start with the new things on the 2013 Mustang.
First off the tail lights now have a "smoked" look to them, and the turn signals are in sequential function, some people dislike the idea, but honesty in person it looks fantastic. Inside the car you can now order Recaro racing seats, a $1600 option, and no power adjustment, but hey, who buys Recaro seats for comfort? The new Mustang also has a new option called Track Apps, it is located in between the tachometer and the speedometer, you can track the acceleration, braking, and even G-forces that are being applied to your car in corners, other things you can check on include, cylinder head temp, intake temp, and oil temp.

More new goodies on the GT are the new Gotta Have It Green paint scheme, which looks stunning and is a real head turner. You also may notice the new HID headlights on the car, which offer great visibly at night and look great in the day. more options include a new hood which has functional vents that cool the monster V8. The front grill has also been resigned, with a more aggressive look than before, the new Mustangs also come with a new air-splitter which increases corner capabilities, and of course looks.

The new Mustang includes a 6-speed auto transition that uses a push-to-shift control which is located on the side of the shifter, which is sadly, horrid, the shifts feel slushy and slow, and down shifts feel very unresponsive, but why would you buy a 420 horse power beast and buy a automatic? go ahead and buy the manual version, which shifts as good as you do. On the positive note the car handles much better than the car it replaces, which is partly because of the new Electric Power Assist system available on the 2013 model of the Mustang, even more nerdy assists include the Hill Assist control, which applies the brakes for two seconds on steep hills, making it much less complicated pulling away from hills.

All in all this is a great car, with loads of options to choose from, the possibilities are endless. It combines comfort, with power, and practicality, with every day fun. With the new touches that make a great car even better, there�s no reason not to love a 2013 Mustang GT.
