Top 5 Fastest Cars Under 30k

Lets let this straight, this is a list for the fastest cars under 30k, not the most practical. This is only a list for the people out there that want the fastest of the fast, but, they do not have the money to buy straight off the lot, with that being said, a lot of the cars on this list are 10+ years old, but hey, who cares about that, when you have 500 horsepower cranking out of the hood.

Extra! 1995- Dodge Viper SRT-1
If I did not already make this clear, this is not a list for the faint of heart, and this car is here to prove it, with 400 horsepower and 450 lb, this car is about as extreme as it gets for this list, even I admit, this car is about as impractical as it gets, no air bags, traction control? Nope, Anti-Lock brakes? Nope, power steering? Well, yes! But even after all of that, this is still a great car, and if all of those things do not matter to you, (and getting about 10mpg) this might be the car for you, fast, fun, and crazy!

5. 2005 Cadillac XLR
So, after that crazy entry, we need to take it a bit slower, but not to slow because the XRL is no slouch, while it may be slower than the downright crazy Viper, it pulls out a respectable 5.8 0-60, although Im going to say that the gearing is so bad its not even funny, some people, who have put in the much closer, and faster 3.74 gear ratio have pulled times from any wear from 5.5 to a crazy fast 5 flat, and thats before you even touch the engine. On the bright side, the XLR was a rather pricy car, so the interior is nice, but not over the ordinary. In my eyes, I see it as a slightly slower Corvette with leather seats, with some sexy sheet metal.

4. 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E55 AMG
Forget the long and boring name, after all you can simply just call this car "The Boss" and you will feel like one to, once you step inside, leather on every imaginable surface in the car, beautiful interior, but this is a list of the fastest cars, not the prettiest, so lets start with the AMG engine that pulls out an amazing 468 horsepower! but you might be saying `"well its a large sedan" but all I have to do to prove it to you that this is a insanely fast car is to read the reviews online, there all great, crazy fast car, with an superb interior, you cant go wrong with this car, and with prices just starting to dip under 30k, theres no better time than now.

3. 2011 Nissan 370Z NISMO
yep, only two years ago you would of had to pay 40+ grand for this car, but now, you can find one with low miles, still under warranty, and lots of features for right at 30k. Although this is a fast car in the straights, this car really shines in the bends, and thats what the NISMO package is for, lower springs, anti-roll bars in the front and back, lower control arms, and a NISMO exhaust, as a personal owner of several Nissans, I can tell you a few things, Nissan makes the best sounding V6 engines by far, same goes for their upscale luxury brand infinity, and with the upgraded exhaust and intake, it wont get any better in the world of V6 engines, another perk of Nissan is that they will go on forever, inexpensive parts to, unlike the AMG. Easy to maintain, and killer looks, it's only choice for you prefer to take the back roads.

2. 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
While the 370Z might be great for the twists, and turns, this beast, is meant for the straights, and with over 425 horsepower, and a blitz 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds! Keep going, and you will do 12 second quarter miles, at 115mph. But the reason I put this car on this list is to compare it to the Viper, while the Viper seems to have aged quite well in its design, the Corvette on the other hand, has not (or, at least to me it hasnt) but if looks are not your thing, the Corvette might be the best option, its *slightly* more convent, with handy things like traction control, and anti-lock brakes, not to mention parts are dirt cheap. So if you want a car that launches to 60 in under four seconds, the Z06 is for you.

1. 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera
Im just as surprised as you are on this one, and it might leave some people wondering why they just bought a Camry, and not a 911, and they run about the same price to, a 2013 Camry w/navigation, and other nice 21st century things run right at 30 grand, and this 2003 911 runs to, at 30 grand, but these are two very different cars, one does 0-60 in 4.3 seconds, while the other, well never mind, but you get the point, it is amazing how cheap these cars are, and they are great cars! Nice leather, and fantastic handling, the only thing that might be a problem is the price to maintain this car which can get a bit pricey.

C7 Corvette

?? 2014 C7 Corvette
?

As you might have saw at the North American Auto Show this year, the new C7 Corvette has been released, and Chevy has some big and not-so-big surprise in store. With all new styling,

Engine
No, as some rumors said that Chevy would go for a V-6, but these rumors, thankfully turned out to be fake, Chevy went with the traditional small-block V-8, which is estimated, to make around 480hp, around 40hp more than the C6 Corvette, which means you are going to shave some time off your lap times, and with improvements to the handing, with lower springs, and anti-roll bars. You might even spend less time at the pump also, with an estimated EPA rating of 29mpg highway. But again, none of these specs are facts, but estimates on what these engines can perform.

Styling
The C7 Corvette has taken some big risks in the style, but it looks like those risks turned out to be huge success, the new headlights are exposed (sorry C2-C5 fans) and have a much more aggressive look to them, with sharp lines, with a slimmer look to them. The taillights look light they smashed the lights from the C5, and the C6, and then blacked them out, and surprisingly, its a great combination, looks mean, yet has the retro look. The body, is now being switched from using steel, to using aluminum, which is lighter, and stronger, so you can make the most out of the 480hp.

I think that the new C7 will be a huge hit for the Chevy, it has all the right ingredients, plus, they have improved just about everything from the older model, its faster, lighter, more comfortable, and most importantly, looks great!

The 2012 TL's refined new look includes a redesigned front bumper with improved aerodynamics, a revised grille, updated headlights and turn signals, a new fog light design and a shorter front overhang. The TL's styling changes more closely align the overall design direction of Acura as, for example, the TL's new lower front fascia openings are similar in design direction as those seen on Acura's popular SUV models (ZDX, MDX and RDX). "With the 2009 TL, the exterior design was a lot about passion," said Damon Schell, Acura Project Lead Designer. "With the 2012 TL, we pushed for an increased level of sophistication."

Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Alfa Romeo Giulietta ,

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta introduces an entirely new platform - called Compact - designed to satisfy the most demanding customers in terms of road-holding, agility and safety. It ensures both exceptional dynamic performance and high comfort levels, thanks to the refined technical solutions employed for the suspension, a new-generation steering system, a light and rigid structure created from materials such as aluminium and high-strength steels, and avant-garde manufacturing techniques. This new platform will allow the Alfa Romeo Giulietta to accommodate the needs of all customers in this category, combining on-board comfort, functional interiors and generous boot space, with the dynamic qualities that belong to every Alfa Romeo. Furthermore, driving satisfaction and comfort can be adapted to meet every customer's specific needs thanks to the Alfa DNA selector, a device that customises the vehicle's behaviour to suit different road conditions and driving styles. The new platform of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was designed to integrate the vehicle's different systems and exploit them to the full, thus emphasising the three set-up functions (Dynamic, Normal and All Weather) available through the Alfa DNA selector. This device, fitted as standard on the entire range of the new model, is designed to modify the operating parameters of the engine, gearbox, steering system and Q2 electronic differential, in addition to the behaviour logic of the Vehicle Dynamic Control system (VDC).

Sporty and comfortable, Italian style
The perfect blend of sportiness and style, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta redefines the Brand's technological standards and emotional values. The front displays a brand new interpretation of the classic shield, embedded in the front bumper and suspended between the air vents. This is the starting point for the design of the entire car, which combines an energetic personality with a distinctly elegant form. The front headlights have DRL with LED technology and a day light function for maximum active safety. Even the profile of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta is brimming with personality, giving the impression of an agile and sturdy car. This is above all due to the side windows which recall the appearance of a coupé, emphasising the dynamism and fluidity of form, thanks also to the concealed rear door handles. The ribs on the sides of the vehicle seem to elongate the car while the clean lines which end at the rear accentuate the angular shape of the car's body. The rear, like the front and side, features distinct styling which emphasises the feeling of a muscular car, firmly gripped onto the road surface. In addition, like the headlights, the innovative rear lights also use LED technology, not only for the sake of style but also preventive safety. Lastly, the measurements of the new car amount to a compact and dynamic shape, while at the same time guaranteeing excellent comfort and a spacious boot (350 litres): it is 4.35 metres long, 1.46 metres high and 1.80 metres wide, with a wheelbase of 2.63 metres.

Review: Boss 302

Ford brought back the Boss 302 for the 2013 model year, and they have given it a new look, more horse power, and most important in the Boss series, better handling. But how does this car stack up to, the less expensive GT, and can it offer the same trill a Shelby has? I look all of these cars on a test drive to find out

First off the tail lights now have a "smoked" look to them, and the turn signals are in sequential function, some people dislike the idea, but honesty in person it looks fantastic. The new Mustang also has a new option called Track Apps, it is located in between the tachometer and the speedometer, you can track the acceleration, braking, and even G-forces that are being applied to your car in corners, other things you can check on include, cylinder head temp, intake temp, and oil temp.
In exterior, and interior, the Boss is pretty much the same car as the base Mustang, although you can opt for the Recaro seats, which is a must if you plan on tracking this car, some other minor touches include a short throw shifter, and a cloth wrapped steering wheel. As for the exterior, its still all around the same, side skirts, and front grill have been modified for weight, fog lamps, and rally lights are also removed for weight saving.

On the performance side of things, the Boss gets a larger manifold which produces 25 more horse power over the 2013 GT model, but power, is not the shining light of the 302, it includes larger ani-roll bars, lower control arms, lowering kit, upgraded struts and springs, and a 3.75 gear set. all of this stands out from the GT model and you can tell, after driving the Boss 302, I knew exactly what the cars limits were, and felt confident going into the coroner, although the same cannot be said about the GT, I felt the back end sliding through the entire corner, not to mention I had no confidence on what the car would do.

I hear people talking about how the Boss 302 is the biggest rip off of all time, and its not worth the extra 15 grand to buy it, and Im here to say that the biggest lie I have ever heard, its the best Mustang by far.

Best Cars Of 2012

2012 has been a great year for the automotive world, the new release of the affordable sports car, the most powerful super cars of all time, and the most advanced automotive technology ever. its been a big year, almost every brand has redone there line up, dodge has complete resign most of their cars, Nissan, Ford, Subaru, and many more have made entire brand changes for the 2012 model year also, and Im hear to recap it with the Top 10 Car of 2012

5. Subaru BRZ / Scion FRS
Yep, the twins made it into the Top 10 Best Cars Of 2012, and for good reasons to, well equipped models of these cars start at under 25 grand, about the same price you would pay for a base Camry, but even though Scion is a Toyota, it share no resemble to the brand, the BRZ is a joy to drive, nippy handling and decent power to get you into a corner, or in some cases, siding into a corner. Although if I had to pick in-between the two, I would have to pick the Subaru, it is around three grand more, but you get leather racing seats, sat nav, a much better interior, and of course, the Subaru badge, and that alone, to me, is worth 3 grand.

4. Ford Focus ST
Hot hatches are just starting to take the scene as, fun, fast, and affordable cars, but Ford is pushing the involve with the Focus ST, with 247 Horse power, and 266 lb-ft of tourq, its one of the most powerful hatchback (has about 30 more horsepower than the MINI JCW) a turbo engine helps power that number, but unlike most turbo engines, the turbo lag is next to none, which is a large improvement over the RS model is Europe which has major turbo lag problems. Cool other little features include Recaro racing seats that come straight out of the Boss 302, and a blacked out honey come grill. If youre looking for the best hot hatch, this is it.

3. BMW M1
If you are not already aware, BMW made a special edition M1 for a bit, and frankly, its one of the best M badge cars you can (or could) buy. With 335 Horse power cranking out of the hood and a super light body makes for one seriously fun car to drive. As for the interior, its made up of fine, dark leather, and racing stitched seats, but when you step out of the interior, you are treated to a beautiful sculpted body, and sporty looking body vents. Looking at the pictures, its a great looking car, but in person, its like nothing on the road, you can stand out even more with available orange paint, you can stand out even more.

2. Shelby GT500
The fire breathing beast made it to the list. With that super charged engine under the hood that produces 640 horse power makes it the most powerful mustang to ever be built. This was in fact, one of the last production cars that Carol Shelby ever made, with the GT1000 being the last car he built. This is, the meanest looking car you can buy, with that black grill, huge 19in wheels, and the classic white stripe, there is no better car to buy for the muscle car fanatic.

1. Fisker Karma
yep, I thought, as did many other people, the Kisker was the best car in 2012, not just for its amazing power, and 0-60 times for being an all eclectic car, its the ground breaking technology thats in the car, the dashboard is all computerized, "Its like one big iPad". The car is also has great range, around 150-250 miles on all eclectic mode, which is impressive for a car this big. although you may be thinking this is an expensive car, its costs around the same as a 5-Series BMW, and the upper range model is on target with the A8, and the BMW- 7 series, and i think its better than all of them by far.

Subaru WRX STI Review

Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2011))

New Designs for 2011 In front, the 2011 WRX STI models feature sharpened bumper corners and wider, blacked-out fog lamp nacelles to accentuate the "wide and low" profile. A jutting lip spoiler with three-dimensional detailing emphasizes the cars' sporty intent. The newly designed front grille with black base and blacked-out Subaru wing highlights the headlights' shape to give the entire front end a more powerful appearance, accentuated by larger grille and bumper intake openings.

New Chassis Tuning for 2011. The Subaru Impreza WRX STI was already a highly optimized performance machine. Specific chassis tuning. Aluminum front lower L-arms reduce unsprung vehicle weight. Major chassis tuning changes include a lowered ride height and new pillow-ball bushings in front and stiffer bushings for the rear subframe that supports the double-wishbone suspension - these improve camber and toe stiffness.

Both the front and rear suspension systems employ higher-rate springs and thicker front and rear stabilizer bars than the 2010 model: 21 mm vs. 20 mm in front and 19 mm vs. 18 mm in rear. Spring rates have increased by 15.6 percent in front and 53 percent in the rear.

New standard 18-inch aluminum wheels feature high-luster paint and weigh 17.6 lbs. less than the previous standard wheels. The optional 18 x 8.5-in. BBS® forged aluminum-alloy wheels, which further reduce unsprung vehicle weight, are highlighted by silver high-luster paint for 2011.

Exclusive to the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, the Brembo Performance Brake System uses ventilated 4-wheel Super Sport anti-lock (ABS) disc brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). Super Sport ABS can control the braking forces at each rear wheel independently, which optimizes braking ability during hard cornering to help reduce understeer.

New for 2011, the WRX STI interior is finished in black and silver to highlight its sporty design. Trim panels, the steering wheel air bag cover and steering wheel switches are now dark cast metallic. The standard tilt and telescopic steering wheel is a three-spoke, leather-wrapped design embossed with the STI logo and features control switches for Bluetooth® hands-free phone function. A new AM/FM stereo with single-disc CD player features Bluetooth audio streaming and hands-free calling, iPod control capability, a USB port, 3.5mm aux. input jack and XM/SIRIUS satellite radio (subscription is extra). An available navigation system integrates a vehicle information center and Bluetooth hands-free calling.
